If you have a stripped out gas jet that needs to be drilled out, the best way to start is to use a Left Handed drill bit.\u00a0 This bit is sized just slightly smaller than the tap drill for the M5 gas jet, so the drill will not mar the threads in the gas block, and in my experience, the bite of the drill and the left-hand rotation of the drill have always gotten enough bite that they unscrew the damaged gas jet before the drill gets to the bottom, eliminating the need to re-tap the threads.\u00a0 Be aware when using this technique, so you do not drill into your barrel.<\/p>\n
