Description
New production Tool Steel Trigger and Hammer Pins for the M1 / M14.
Made on a screw machine for a smooth surface finish. Diameters are made to the upper limit of Mil-Spec dimensions for tightest fit. Trigger pin Mil-Spec is 0.099″ +0/-0.003”, these are right at 0.099″. Hammer pin Mil-Spec is 0.187″ +0/-0.002”, these are right at 0.187″.
Pins are tool steel, which has been fully heat treated, and then has a high hardness/low friction NiB surface coating applied for the ultimate in hardness and smoothness.
The primary benefit of these pins is that the max dimensions will minimize any wobble in the trigger/hammer, so the sear edges will be held parallel to each other, to give the most consistent trigger break.
A secondary benefit is that the hard/smooth/low friction properties of the surface coating will decrease friction and wear, for smoother movement on the pivots.
These are CMP legal for the ‘as issued’ JC Garand matches.
