30mm Carbon Fiber UltraBlack Sunshade

ShootingSight Carbon Fiber sunshades have our own ‘UltraBlack’ interior coatings, for the absolute best anti-reflection properties possible.

Machined parts will black anodize, or oxide treat interior surfaces to reduce reflections.  However, if a surface is smooth, anodization or oxide is not good enough to eliminate glare.

The best anti reflection surface is to add a flocked coating to the surface.  The random orientation of the fibers drastically reduces the horizontal surfaces available for reflection, virtually eliminating any glare.

These sunshades are 2-1/2″ long, with aluminum threaded collars, and a CF tube.  Threads are 1-1/4″ x 28TPI, which is standard for the 30mm sights, so these will screw into the front of any of my lenses, glare shields, rain shades, or most 30mm sight bodies.  Note, there are other companies who terminate their sights with a smaller diameter thread to use their proprietary sunshade threads, so everything is not compatible with everything else.  Also, these sunshades do NOT have a female internal thread on the front end, so they cannot accept any other elements being screwed in.  Weight is only 19gm.
